Lorraine Myrta (Loveless) James

May 16, 1927 – August 30, 2016

Lorraine M. James was born May 16, 1927, to Wilbur and Elizabeth (Chrz) Loveless in Perry, Oklahoma.

Lorraine graduated in the class of 1945 from Perry High School. Lorraine met Arthur L. James, Jr., in Perry. They were married September 2, 1946.

Lorraine worked lovingly side-by-side with her husband for most of her life, 19 years of which they were curators of the Pawnee Bill Museum. She even had the opportunity to work at the Pawnee Bill Trading Post with her precious granddaughter McKala by her side and retired a final time at the age of 83.

Lorraine enjoyed spending time with her family and making memories. She was a member of the Morrison First Christian Church. One of Lorraine’s wishes was met in that she was able to live on her own until the end.

She is survived by her loving daughter Tonda L. Miner and special son-in-law Danny of Pawnee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Junior James, her precious granddaughter McKala Le Miner, and her true blessing and great-granddaughter Halli Rae Tessmann, both of Pawnee.

Donations in Lorraine’s honor may be made to the Pawnee Bill Ranch.
