Tommy Ray Emmons received the State Farmer degree from the Future Farmers of America in 1965. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Emmons, route one, Perry. He was born June 20, 1947, in Perry. He attended classes at Fourdee and Oakdale Center before enrolling in Perry. He served as sentinel of the FFA chapter in 1964-65. Hunting and coin collecting are his hobbies and agriculture is his favorite subject. He plans to attend Oklahoma State university to major in agriculture.

Tommy R. Emmons, age 75, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
He was born June 20, 1947, in Perry, OK, to Wayne and Gladys (Collins) Emmons. Tommy graduated from Perry High School and then earned his bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University before proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corps. He served one tour in Okinawa, Japan.
He was a truck driver by trade. He spent time as a driver and a dispatch operator.
He married the love of his life, Anita Rae Chestnut, February 6, 1981.
He loved to hunt as well as fish in Red River, NM, and spend time at Delmer’s Fishing. Above all, he was a hardworking, loving, loyal, and a devoted husband, dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Larry “Bud”, Gary Sr., and Dewey.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Anita, and four children: son, Kevin Emmons, and daughter, Stefanie Emmons; son, Gentry Barnes and his wife Lauren and son; Jeremy Barnes and his wife Shelisa; seven grandchildren: Daegen, Brayden, Justin, Grayson, Traylon, Braylee and Taylor Wise and her husband Michael, and two great-grandchildren, Lexton and Kinslee Wise, and one sister, Doris Brown.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2022, at The Bridge Church, Mustang, Oklahoma.
