November 27, 1940 – February 23, 2023

Harold William “Bill” Scovill, beloved father, husband, and friend, was called to heaven on February 23, 2023, at the age of 82 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Born on November 27, 1940, in Oklahoma, he was the son of Harold and Kathryne Scovill. He grew up in Perry and attended both the University of Oklahoma and the University of Florida, where he received a degree in law. Bill went on to have a successful career running his own law firm for over 50 years in Sarasota, Florida.

Bill was a kind, generous, and thoughtful man who was loved by many. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. He was an avid golfer, involved in his church, and a supporter of several local charities. Bill also loved to travel, especially by cruise ship.

Survivors include: his wife, of 41 years, Evelyn; his sons, Bart and Kirk; and step-daughters, Cindy and Kari, whom he loved as his own; his sister, Judy; and several grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to Wounded Warriors or Tunnels to Towers charities for veterans in Bill’s honor.
