Delores Rose (Steichen) Quinn

October 11, 1929 – February 20, 2023

After living a long life of 93 years, Delores R. Quinn went to her rest on February 20, 2023.

She was born on October 11, 1929, to parents Nicholas and Rosa Steichen in Perry, Oklahoma. While attending Perry High School, she found great interest in music performing arts and participated with the high school band for three years. Her religious beliefs were nurtured by her membership with the St. Rosa of Lima Catholic Church while residing in the Perry, Oklahoma, area, and later the St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church after moving with her family to San Antonio, Texas.

Her marriage to Billy C. Quinn, a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, provided many traveling experiences, with San Antonio, Texas, being a final destination and the chosen home for their retirement. In addition to being the wife of a military man, she raised four active children and served as both a Boy Scout leader and as a Girl Scout leader. She was active with family and in her community until her health and age would no longer allow it.

She was preceded in death by her son Bruce Quinn, daughter Marcia Ralph, granddaughter Shawna Ralph and great-grandson Nicholas Quinn. Her living children Glynn Quinn, Stephen Quinn and Mark Quinn are joined by her many grand and great-grandchildren in memory of her life and love. Her burial will be in Perry, Oklahoma, returning her to where she began. God now holds her spirit in His hands, and she rests in peace.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Katherine Steichen, Lucille Schultz; and brother Edward Steichen; and survived by Sister Luella Cink of Enid.
