Robert Waylan Hopper

July 20, 1945 – September 30, 2021

Robert Waylan Hopper, 76, of Yukon, OK, passed away peacefully at his home Sept. 30, 2021. He was born July 20, 1945, in Guthrie, OK, the 4th of five children (Verna, Vernon, Frances, Robert, Linda) to Raymond and Edrena Hopper. The family later moved to Perry where Robert graduated high school.

After graduation, Robert served his country for 3 years in the U.S. Navy. After his discharge from the Navy, he moved to Oklahoma City and went to work for AT&T where he worked until his retirement.

Robert enjoyed many recreations; skiing (snow and water), flying model airplanes, building Corvettes and racing them, motorcycles, and volleyball. He just enjoyed life, and being a jokester. Robert was a wonderful person, and he loved his sons, Garrett and Dylan.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother and survived by his sons, sisters, and fiance Margaret.

A Celebration of his life will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, Yukon, OK. Interment will follow at Frisco Cemetery, Yukon, OK. In lieu of flowers please consider supporting Dementia Research.
