Shirley Jean (Duncan) Moody

November 22, 1938 – August 12, 2023

Shirley Jean Moody, age 84, died peacefully at INTEGRIS Hospice House after a brief battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Shirley was born November 22, 1938, in Perry, Oklahoma, to James and Marie (Ritthaler) Duncan. She and her husband, Roger Wayne Moody, celebrated 66 years of marriage in June. They raised two sons, Rocky and Scott, in Midwest City, OK.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, James Alva and Marie Duncan; her brother, Jim Duncan; her sister, Lois Moore; and her son, Rocky Moody. She is survived by her husband, Roger; son Scott Moody (Kim), granddaughter Taylor Voss (Austin), grandson Michael Moody (Alex), and great-granddaughters Remi Voss and Isla Voss. She is also survived by her sister, Hulda Henry Trumbla (Tom), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Shirley requested no public services be held. Because Shirley was a two-time survivor of breast cancer, her family has chosen The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for those choosing to make memorial donations. Blood donations are also appreciated, as Shirley was the recipient of several blood transfusions during her treatment for leukemia.
