Cooking is the hobby of Pamela Denise Vaughan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl E. Vaughan, 609 Ninth street. She was born April 2, 1957, at Ada. She attended school in Stroud, 1963-69. She was active in Future Homemakers of America, 1971-75; typing club, 1973-74; on the newspaper staff, 1974-75; and was a library aide, 1971-72. She was FHA secretary, 1974-75, and was listed in “Who’s Who Among American High School Students,” 1974-75. Her favorite subject is English. She plans to obtain employment upon graduation.

Pamela “Denise” (Neecie) Vaughan, born April 2, 1957, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Yvonne and Carl Vaughan, died September 11, 2023, after a lengthy illness.

Denise had three sisters, Janis Arlene Good, Sandra Kaye Snyder, and Debra Carlene Brengle, and one brother, Carl Randall Vaughan.

Denise leaves behind her beloved pets, Cissy and Shadow; nieces, Trisha Good-Valenti, Heather Krull, Alexandra Brittian, and Tara Hawkins; nephews, Scott Good, Travis Wilson, Robert Snyder Jr., Donald Snyder, Brad Snyder, Gregg Snyder, Tyler Vaughan, and Tyson Vaughan. She also leaves behind great-nieces and great-nephews, Ian Harned, McKenzie Vaughan, Michael Vaughan, Madison Vaughan, Morgan Vaughan, Kylie Hawkins, Van Hawkins, Eastan Krull, Abigail Vaughan and Rohan Vaughan; and many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Denise was preceded in death by her beloved pet, Sammy; nephew, Michael Good; her mother, Myrtle Yvonne Poston-Vaughan; her sister, Debra Carlene Brengle; her father, Carl Edward Vaughan; and her longtime partner, Christopher Pinkham.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Trout Funeral Home of Perry with her brother Carl “Randy” Vaughan officiating. Denise will be laid to rest at Grace Hill Cemetery following the service.
