Cheryl Lou (Washburn) Miller

September 15, 1945 – September 13, 2023

Cheryl Lou Miller went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at her home west of Perry. She was 77 years old.

Born September 15, 1945, in Edmond, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of William Glyndon “Pat” Washburn and Dorothea “Hazel” (Young) Washburn. She attended Perry Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1963, and continued her education at Central State University.

On September 5, 1964, she married Bobby Miller. She was the mother of one daughter and two sons. She formerly worked at T&L Ranch Wear and Daylight Donuts but was a farm wife. She loved quilting, gardening, and canning. She was a member of Whipple Ladies Aid. She was very supportive of Perry Public Schools and made banners for the band and wrestling programs. She was a member of the Lucien United Methodist Church and taught Vacation Bible School for many years.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Bobby, of the home; one daughter, Roberta “Diane” Maly and her husband Richard, and one son, Robert “Bob” Miller and his wife Becky; grandchildren Sid Maly and his wife Sierra, Lauren Farrand and her husband Austin, Mia Miller and Jake Miller; great-grandchildren Madelynn Maly, Emberly Maly, Lynlee Maly, Bristol Farrand, and Walker Farrand; one brother, Jim Washburn, and his wife Mary; and a sister-in-law, Sally Vaughn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Lloyd Glen Miller; and one brother, Coy Vaughn.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Lucien United Methodist Church. Pastor Lana Knott will officiate. Burial will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery. Memorials in her honor may be made to the Lucien United Methodist Church.
