Margaret Jones, 87, of Maumelle, AR (previously from Moore, OK), peacefully joined her husband, Luther, in heaven on Friday, July, 26, 2013.

She was the only child of Martha and Arthur Clark, Perry, OK. They preceded her in death. She attended Oklahoma State University where she met the love of her life, Luther. They were married in Stillwater, OK, on April 14, 1947. They enjoyed years of love and the births of their two children until Luther’s passing in 2010.

She was a devout Presbyterian and a charter member of Moore Presbyterian Church. She lived her faith through her words and actions. Her favorite activities included: Singing in church choir, art projects, collecting anything related to Gone with the Wind movie, playing and loving her animals, and actively being a vital part of her children and grandchildren’s lives.

Margaret retired from Southwestern Bell after 30 plus years at the early age of 55. Luther joined her several years later. Together they traveled all over the U.S. and enjoyed 25 years of retirement. One of her favorite things they did was crew for hot air balloons for many years.

Margaret and Luther moved to Stonehaven Assisted Living in Feb. 2009. Here she was loved by staff and residents alike.

Also left to cherish her memory are her grandsons; Shane Jones, Scott Jones, and Marcus Jones of Moore, OK; Ryan Briley of Little Rock; and her granddaughter, Brittany Briley of Tucson, AZ; 6 great-grandchildren; many friends from Moore and a special friend, Karen Lowery of Little Rock.

A memorial service will be held at Stonehaven Assisted Living, 101 Olympia Drive Maumelle, AR, at 3:00 p.m. On Tuesday, July 30, 2013.
