Samuel “Scott” Bowden

December 2, 1947 – June 11, 2023

Samuel Scott Bowden, age 75, of Seminole, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023, at his home in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Samuel was born December 02, 1947, in Perry, Oklahoma, a son of Walter and Sammy Isabell (Rhines) Bowden.

He met Sharon Thrasher while attending OSU Tech at Okmulgee in 1975. The two had an instant connection and began dating. The two married February 25, 1978, at the First Pentecostal Holiness church in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. They spent their time taking rides on the motorcycle and attending classic car shows. They were blessed with three sons, Nicholas Scott, Justin Eugene, and Christopher Michael. Samuel taught his children to have a strong work ethic, work on cars and do household projects. He was always there for his family when they needed him.

Samuel was employed and retired with the United States Navy as an aviation support mechanic. He was employed for 30 years until his retirement. He loved to collect and watch movies and had a special interest in all classic cars, especially 1967 Fairlane cars.

Samuel is survived by his spouse Sharon Bowden; son Nicholas Bowden; son Justin Bowden and wife Kari; grandchildren Stephen Temple, Stephanie Deere and husband Brandon, Kaydence Bowden, Sabre Henderson, Landon Bowden, Emma Bruce and Kane Bowden; great-grandchildren Arianna, Mable, and Myra; brother John Bowden and wife Dale; and niece Jessie Bowden.

Samuel is preceded in death by his parents Sammy and Walter Bowden and his son Christopher Bowden.
