– 17 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Main of Billings was born at Red Rock.

Miss Main attended grade school at Banner, Tonkawa and Billings. She also attended highschool at Tonkawa as well as Perry.

She is a member of the Order of the Rainbow, the glee club and the Red Hots. After graduation she expects to attend Northern Oklahoma Junior college at Tonkawa.

Agnes “Alene” (Main) Bruton

March 16, 1927 – January 15, 2015

Agnes “Alene” Bruton was born to Homer and Ora Belle Main, in Red Rock, Oklahoma, on March 16th, 1927.

Among the many Catholic Charities and other volunteer endeavors, Alene worked at clothing shelters, teenage adoption centers, and canned food drives. She created, designed, and sewed her own church sponsored children’s’ puppet shows, including making all the outfits and stage settings. Alene taught primary school age catechism classes, and also volunteered as a Den Mother in Cub Scouts.

Alene was licensed in several states as an LPN. She was a lifelong member of the Rosary Society. All her children benefited greatly for her dedication to her faith, her work ethic, and dedication to living the Christian life.

She is preceded in death by her husband of over 66 years, William Otho Bruton; daughter, Priscilla Kay; and son, Clyde Winston Bruton.

She is survived by her son Michael, and brother, Mark, along with Paul, and his wife, Sharon, with her granddaughter Bethany Mulvaney Fodal, and her husband, Jason Fodal, and her great grandson, Nathan Coffey.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday January 16, 2015, at 10 AM at Mary, Help of Christians Catholic Church 954 N. Maple Ave Fairborn Ohio 45324 with Rev. Charles F. Lang Celebrant. She will rest with her husband at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please forward donations to St Vincent De Paul’s Charity in Fairborn, Ohio.
