Robert Ray Powell, 51, long-time Perry resident, was born December 1, 1972, in Apple Valley, California, the son of Wayne Powell Sr. and Constance (Kilmer) Powell. He passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at his home in Perry.

He moved to Perry, Oklahoma with his family in 1984 and graduated from Perry High School in 1991. He was employed as an assembler at Charles Machine Works, Inc. He was married to Joy Guilliams on September 22, 2001.

Together they raised four sons: Quinton Ray Powell, Perry, Austin Lane Powell, Tulsa, Brayden Lewis and Karston Wyatt, Perry. The marriage was later dissolved, although they remained friends. Joy related, “He lived for his boys.” He was also a handy man and was always looking for his next project. He also loved the beach and all his animals throughout the years. He also earned his black belt in martial arts and was an instructor for White Line Martial Arts.

He is survived by his parents; four sons: Quinton, Austin, Brayden and his fiancée, Tatyana Jones, and Karston; three grandchildren: Oliver Ray Williams, Locust Grove, A’mireh Mickens, and Elijah Mickens, both of Perry; a brother, Wayne Powell Jr. and wife Cheryl, Tulsa; and a sister, Tiffani Burngrover, Perry.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, 2024, 2:00 – 3:00 pm, at the Perry Assembly of God.
