Amanda Michelle (Marshall) Keating
April 9, 1992 — January 26, 2024
Amanda Michelle Marshall-Keating was born to Bradley Scott Marshall and Victoria Shareen Emmons on April 9, 1992, in Tucson, AZ, and she went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2024.
Amanda graduated from Perry High School and attended Meridian Technology Center in Stillwater. She also attended UCO in Edmond.
Amanda married the love of her life, Kelly Ian Keating, on January 19, 2019. Together they have a young daughter, Lyla Gwen Keating, born July 11, 2017.
Amanda loved to read, especially the Harry Potter series of books. In her youth, Amanda loved to sing and performed in many local plays and musicals in high school and in the Stagecoach Community Theater. Her mother would often say that her voice was so beautiful that it sounded like an angel’s. One of her dreams was to compete on the TV show American Idol. That dream was fulfilled in July of 2012 and even though she didn’t make it to the show, Amanda didn’t let that keep her from singing her heart out.
In her college and adult years, Amanda loved being a server. She loved meeting new people and making them happy. Her job was to bring people good food, but the most important thing that she served was a warm smile and a heaping helping of kindness. Amanda loved everyone and loved seeing people happy. Her kindness and warm spirit would brighten anyone’s day, which made her good at her job. Above all things Amanda adored her husband Kelly and her precious daughter Lyla. They were the center of her heart.
Amanda was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Paul and Patricia Marker and her paternal grandparents Aaron and Jolinda Marshall, all of Perry.
Amanda is survived by her parents Wendell and Victoria Emmons as well as Brad and Danette Marshall, all of Perry. Amanda is also survived by many siblings: Stacy Emmons of Moore, James Emmons of Yukon, Ashlie Emmons of Norman, Catherine Marker of Stillwater, Steven Marshall and his wife Katie of Wahpeton, ND, and Tyler, Tanner and Maddie Marshall, all of Perry. Amanda is also leaving behind many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that you make donations to the American Heart Association.
