July 11, 1975 — May 14, 2024
Shane Jeremy Smith, a devoted father, husband, brother, son, and grandpa, tragically departed on May 14, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Shane was born on July 11, 1975, in Perry, Oklahoma. Throughout his life, Shane wore many hats – a rancher and welder by trade but so much more to those who knew him best. His personality endeared him to all who crossed his path. To his family, he was a pillar of strength; always ready to lend a helping hand and fix whatever needed fixing. His dedication to providing for his loved ones never wavered, even in the face of personal struggles.
Shane’s pride and joy were his three daughters whom he raised with unwavering love and taught them the value of resilience. His role as “Cowpa” to his grandbabies brought him immeasurable joy. Colorado held a special place in his heart; it was where he found solace and made cherished memories exploring the mountains with his beloved family by his side.
Left to cherish Shane’s memory are his wife of nearly 30 years, Brandi Smith; daughters Bailey Smith (and her fiancé Jessie Thayer), Karley Bowman (and her husband Jake), Shailey Smith (and her fiancé Stretch St. Clair); grandsons Colt Bowman and Memphis Neitzler; father Gene Smith; brothers Kenny Smith (and wife Dione), Cory Smith (and wife Shiloh); nieces and nephews Tara and Cody Hicks (and their family), Kyle Smith, Erica Smith; mother-in-law Brenda Avery; father-in-law Billy Avery; best friend Alejandro Chico Muniz; as well as a large extended family including “T” the dog.
