Linford H. Taylor has indicated he plans to attend college after completing his education at Perry High School.

He has attended classes in district 14 and in Perry. He is the son of Mrs. Floyd W. Taylor, 921 Fir avenue. Linford was born in Noble County Oct. 20, 1930.

Linford H. Taylor, 93, Derby, Kansas, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024.

He was born October 20, 1930, to Floyd and Zada Taylor, in Noble County, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Perry High School in 1948. He married Frances Rollins on December 23, 1950. After Frances passed away on April 21, 1999, he married Jo Ann Travis, on March 31, 2001. She passed away March 3, 2018.

Linford was in the Army during the Korean War and served his country in Korea. He returned to the Wichita area and worked at Boeing for 38 years as a tool and die finisher. He and Frances moved to Derby in 1955 and raised three children there.

He was preceded in death by his parents and Frances and Jo Ann.

Survivors include his children, Debbie (Robert) Riggs, Gerry (DiAnna) Taylor, Terry (Marla) Taylor; grandchildren, Nate (Jill) Riggs, Jenny (Chris) Flood, Tiffany (Ryan) Gaffney, Justin (Stacia) Taylor, Laura (Cory) Welter, Jason Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Chloe, Christian, Brooks, Lydia, Austin, Owen and Savannah.

His funeral service is at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024, at South Rock Christian Church, 900 S. Rock Road, Derby, KS 67037. Memorial contributions may be made to Derby Senior Center, 611 N Mulberry Rd #100, Derby, KS 67037.
