Dr. Max Morris Edgar

April 1, 1945 – May 26, 2024

Dr. Max Morris Edgar was born in Perry, OK, on April 1, 1945, April Fools’ Day and Easter Sunday! He departed this life in Oklahoma City, OK, on May 26, 2024. He was the son of Harry and Alma Edgar and was raised in Perry, OK.

Max loved to learn! He was very involved in the Perry school system and graduated from Perry High School. He continued his education at Central State University, earning a Bachelor and Master’s Degree. He ultimately earned a Doctorate of Psychology at Oklahoma State University.

During his career, he worked in many capacities of caring for and assisting others!

He found joy and peace in taking care of others through his career, his neighbors, and his love of animals. Max was loved by many friends and family! Anyone who knew Max, knew how truly big his heart was. Max gave when no one was looking. He cared when no one else did. This is one of the many lessons that we all learned from Max.

Max was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and his brother Jack Edgar. He is survived by his sister-in-law Rita Edgar, nieces and nephews Gary and Melissa Hula, Melinda Edgar, Keith and Margaret Perkins, Ted and Mona Wallin, John and Shelly Edgar and their families, numerous cousins, and friends who loved him like family.

At Max’s request, there will not be a service. He has been laid to rest at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, OK.
