Glenn Alan Nelson is a member of “The Jesters,” a dance band much in demand for teen hops in this area. He is the 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Allan W. Wilson and was born Aug. 30, 1948, in Perry. He has attended school in Winter Park, Fla., and Altamonte Springs, Fla., in addition to PHS. Nelson has been a member of the Maroon wrestling team and this year was team manager. He also played baseball last year. His favorite subject is Problems of American Democracy. Glenn plans to attend the Southwest Technical Institute in Oklahoma City.

Glenn Alan Nelson, 39, died at 6:15 a.m. Friday at his home in Orange Park, Florida, after a long illness.

Nelson, a native of Perry and 1966 graduate of Perry High School, was the son of Allan and Phoebe Wilson, 14 Hillcrest.

Other survivors include his wife, Kathy, of the home; three sons, Mark and Jonathan of the home, and Drew Nelson of Perry; and one daughter, Michelle Nelson, Diamond Springs, Calif.

Others include his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. N. Nelson, 718 Sixth street, Perry; two brothers, Mark Nelson, Orange Park, and James Nelson, Campbell, Texas; two sisters, Patti Pyffe, Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and Cynde Goodson, Oklahoma City; one step-sister, Sharon Schwartz, Tulsa; and two uncles, Glades Campbell, 509 Holly street, Perry, and Walter Campbell, Wichita.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist church in Orange Park, Fla. Graveside services will be in Grace Hill cemetery in Perry at 10 a.m. Thursday. Rev. Richard Barker will officiate at the graveside rites. Memorials may be made to the Clay County Unit of the American Cancer Society or the Orange Park Hospice of Northeast Florida.
