Lemon B. Shroyer

October 18, 1884 – November 20, 1913

Lemon B. Shroyer was born at Castelia, Iowa, October 18, 1884, died of acute pneumonia, Nov. 20th at Attica, Kansas. aged 29 years. He was married to Miss Nina Ellis in this city Jan. 17, 1910. To them were born two children both of whom proceeded him to the better world, leaving the wife alone to bear her sorrow and burden.

The body was brought here for interment, arriving here on the early morning Santa Fe train Sunday and the funeral occurred from the Ellis home in this city at 2:20 in the afternoon, Rev. McBride of the M. E. church officiating and interment followed in Grace Hill cemetery.

The deceased grew to manhood in this community. He graduated from the Perry high school in 1905, and chose farming as his profession. He was a model young man from every standpoint and the sympathy of the entire community goes out to the wife, who is so sorely bereft. He was a member of the M. W. A. and carried insurance in the sum of $2,000 in that order.

The body was accompanied here from Kansas by the widow, her father, J. F. Ellis and a sister Miss Lola Shroyer.
