Charles Ray Webster, 17, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Webster, 1414 Kaw street. He was born June 12, 1947, in Enid. At PHS he has been a member of the band since 1960, stage band since 1961, and has been a member of the football and wrestling squads. He also took part in the all-state chorus and mixed chorus, 1961-64. Webster served as a page in the Oklahoma house of representative in 1963. He was in last year’s junior class play. Charles plans to attend Northern Oklahoma Junior college. Speech is his favorite subject and water skiing is his hobby.

June 12, 1947 – June 18, 2024

Charles “Chuck” Ray Webster died June 18 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at 77 years old.

Born on June 12, 1947, in Enid, Oklahoma, he graduated from Perry High School in 1965 and went on to join the Army in 1966. He served a tour in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1972. Chuck earned the National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star; Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device 60 and Aircraft Crewman Badge. He worked for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation for over 30 years until he retired.

Chuck was a member of the Akdar Shrine of Tulsa and enjoyed driving families to and from the surrounding Shriners Hospitals and participating in many Circus and other Shriner events. He also enjoyed the friendships and fellowship shared by fellow Shriners. Chuck and Dixie enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

He was also an active member of the Sapulpa Masonic Lodge #170 where he and Dixie built many great memories and friendships.

Survivors include his wife Dixie Webster of 41 years, who resides in Glenpool, Oklahoma; sons Derik Webster and wife Tina of Foyil, Oklahoma, Darby Webster and wife Tracie of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Frank Hardcastle and wife Tina of Townsend, Georgia; grandchildren Zachery, Jacob, and Miranda Webster, Ciara Kilpatrick and husband Zachary, Tanner Webster and wife Sierra, Lindsey and Martin Hardcastle, and Chandler and Bethany West.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Sybil Webster, and grandson Logan West.

The funeral service will be 12:30 PM, Friday, June 21, 2024, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow, OK.
