William Michael (Mickey) Brown, 17, is the son of Dr. and Mrs. A. M. Brown, 815 Locust street. He was born Oct. 29, 1945, in Tulsa, and came to Perry in 1950. The Browns are members of the Methodist church. His school activities have included band, football, swing band, Spanish assembly, and Christmas vespers. His favorite subject is biology, and his hobby is model cars. Brown plans to attend Northern Oklahoma Junior college and Oklahoma State university, and expects to serve in the Air Force.

William Michael Brown, 79, passed away November 14, 2024, at Porta Caeli House in Tulsa.

Born October 24, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he was the son of Dr. Arthur Murton Brown and Evelyn Mae (Green) Brown. He grew up in Perry, Oklahoma, and was a 1963 graduate of Perry High School. Mickey, as he was known by his family and friends, continued his education at Oklahoma State University, obtaining a degree in wildlife management. He served in the United States Army honorably discharged with the rank of E5.

He was married April 5, 1969, to Deborah (Hopkins) Brown. He retired from Ditch Witch where he was employed in the audio-visual department.

Photography, fishing, and hunting were his hobbies, and he loved spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his two sons: John Brown, Perry, and Jeffrey Brown and his wife Trina of Orlando, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah, his parents, and a sister, Virginia Brown.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Dighton Marler Funeral Home Chapel.
