Leland Edward Golliver

December 1, 1914 – September 21, 2007

Leland E. Golliver, 92, of Enid, formerly of Perry, was the son of Harry S. and Mary (Smelser) Golliver. He was born Dec. 1, 1914 in Lucien and died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007 at the Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid.

Leland was a 1934 graduate of Perry High School.

Feb. 9, 1941, Leland married Jean Marie Culbertson in Hayward at her parent’s home. He was a farmer and also worked for Noble County.

Leland was a resident of Noble County for more than 70 years before moving to Enid in 1985. He has been a member of the Polo Christian Church, Garber Christian Church, Ceres Christian Church, Perry Christian Church, Oakwood Christian Church and, more recently, Davis Park Christian Church in Enid. Leland has served as deacon and elder for his church.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel in Perry. Rev. Alan Siebel will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry

Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation heart fund in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. Seventh St., Perry, 73077.

Leland is survived by his wife, Jean Golliver, of Enid; one son, John Golliver and his wife, Pat, of Agra; one daughter, Marylee Imgarten and her husband, Ted, of Enid; six grandchildren, Bill Golliver and his wife, Sue, of Mt. Vernon, Mo., Tina Bales and her husband, Brian, of Jennings, Mandy Imgarten and Steven Imgarten, both of Enid, and Jonathan Golliver and Elizabeth Golliver, both of Agra; and three great-grandchildren, Eric Bales and Tyler Bales, both of Jennings, and Gabriel Golliver, of Mt. Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Lowell Golliver, and one daughter, Linda Golliver.
