Ida Mae Scafe, 18, plans to work in Perry following her graduation from PHS. She is the daughter of Mrs. Mae Scafe, 1015 Second street. She was born in Stillwater July 29, 1931, and also attended grade school in the Payne county capital.
Ida Mae (Scafe) Phelps

Ida Mae Phelps, 54, 1021 Delaware street, died at 11:30 am Saturday at Presbyterian hospital at Oklahoma City.
Born at Stillwater, July 29, 1931, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Mae Scafe. She was a Perry high school graduate and had worked as a waitress at several Perry restaurants.
Among survivors are one sister, Mrs. John (Stella) Stanley, Perry; and five nieces.
Mrs. Phelps was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parker-Brown Funeral home chapel. Rev. Ester Bass, pastor of the Assembly of God church, will officiate. Burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery.
