Noel Wedgeworth has been a member of the Maroon wrestling team two years, and a member of the Future Farmers of America for the past four years. He plans to work after his graduation. Noel was born in Ponca City and attended grade school in Tonkawa before moving to Perry. The 17-year-old lad is the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Haefner, route one, Perry.
Noel Maurice Wedgeworth

Noel M. Wedgeworth, a 17-year resident of Tacoma, WA, died October 18, 1987.
Born on July 8, 1932, in Billings, Oklahoma, he was the son of Noel George Wedgeworth and Charlotte Alice Wedgeworth-Haefner. He attended Kay County schools and was a 1950 graduate of Perry High School. He completed four years of active duty with the Navy, serving in Korea.
On October 9, 1955, he and Virginia Ann Johnson were married at the home of her parents in Long Beach, California, where they established their residence. After the births of one daughter and five sons, they divorced in 1974.
Wedgeworth worked as an upholsterer.
Survivors include his daughter, Susan J. Harttlet; sons, George, Gregory, Richard, Charles, and Edward; mother, Charlotte Heafner; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1939.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, 11:30 a.m., at Mt. View Memorial Park, Lakewood, WA.
