Employment as a secretary is the goal of Claudette Nadean Nation, 17, after graduation this month from Perry high school. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude A. Nation and was born Jan. 7, 1938, in Fairfield, Calif. She came to Noble county March 14, 1953, and had attended school in Stillwater previously. Miss Nation has been a member of the Red Hots pep club two years and was a 4-H club member in 1951-53. She was a drill leader for the Red Hots one year. She plays piano and reads for a hobby, and typing is her most enjoyable subject.
Claudette Nadean (Nation) Hartung
January 7, 1938 – March 24, 2005
Claudette N. Hartung of Sapulpa, OK, died Thursday at the South Crest Hospital at the age of 67.
Born Jan. 7, 1938, in Fairfield, Calif., she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Nation. She lived in Sapulpa for the past 38 years moving there from Okmulgee.
She worked for the Sapulpa WalMart from 1974 until 1986 where she was a department head.
Preceding her in death was her father, Claude Nation; brother, Claude Nation Jr; and niece, Bonnie Payne.
Survivors are her husband Lewis, of the home; children Linda Hartung, of Sapulpa, and Jeff Hartung and wife Shirley, of Perry; mother Nadean Wagoner Nation, of Perry; grandchildren Eric and Jessie Hartung; sisters Shirley Renefield, of Broken Arrow, and Mary Shireman, of Perry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services have been set for 2 p.m. Tuesday. March 29. 2005 in South Heights Cemetery, Sapulpa, OK.
