Computer science studies at Oklahoma State university at Stillwater are in the future for Steven Douglas Platt, 17. Platt’s favorite school subject also is computer science. A term in the military also is in his future plans. He was named all district defensive end in football while a senior. He was a member of the PHS football team from his freshman through his senior years and was a member of the National Honor society his junior year. Born March 30, 1963, at Perry, Platt is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Platt, 203 E. Boundary. He lists First Christian as his church affiliation.
Steven Douglas Platt
March 30, 1963 – March 26, 1990
Steven Douglas Platt, 26, of 434 S. 53rd West Ave, Tulsa, OK, was killed Monday when he sustained a head injury at work in an industrial accident. He was operating a side-loader in the warehouse of Whittaker Metals when the accident occurred.
Born March 30, 1963, in Perry, OK, he was the son of William F. and Darlene J. (Pricer) Platt. He graduation from Perry high in 1981.
He married Kim Uhrig on December 31, 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Kim, of the home; parents, Bill and Darlene Platt; sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Glen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dennis and Barbara Uhrig; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dennis Jr. and Nina; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfather Platt, his grandfather Pricer and sister, Vicki.
Services will be at the Brown Funeral Chapel in Perry. Burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery, Perry.
