Merle Waldon, age 90, of Laurie, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 10, at the Laurie Knolls.

Born May 18, 1898, in Milton, Ill., he was the son of Charles and Henrietta Boren Waldon. He graduated from Perry high in 1918 and was employed by the Empire Pipe Line near Billings.

On Sept. 16, 1922, he and Wynona Witcher were married in Guthrie. They spent most of their married life in Kansas and Missouri.

He was a retired machinist and a member of the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church in Laurie.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, Wynona, include three daughters, Irene Murray of Laurie, Mary Anderson of Shawnee, Kans., and Josie Hopkins of Kansas City North, Mo.; ten grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Laurie with Rev. Steve McQueen officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Kans.
