Arlene Elizabeth (Brock) Hunt

September 27, 1902 – December 29, 1959

Arlene Elizabeth Hunt, 57, died unexpectedly about 7 p.m. Tuesday at her home in Kingfisher, Oklahoma.

Born in Oklahoma on September 27, 1902, she was the daughter of Clifford and Myra Marie Annette Davidson Brock. Following her graduation from Perry high school in 1921, she attended Central State college. For two years she taught school near Perry.

She married Virgil Devern Hunt August 19, 1922, and they resided at Perry until moving to Ada in 1928. The family had lived in Kingfisher since the fall of 1933.

Active in church and garden club work in Kingfisher, Mrs. Hunt was serving as director of children’s work in Oklahoma Christian churches at the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Max Kemp of Bristow and Mrs. Bill Struck, Clinton; three sons, Virgil Jr., Phoenix, Arizona, David, Oklahoma City and James of Norman; seven grandchildren; a brother, Clark Brock, Lucien; and a sister, Mrs. Lillian Talmage, Imperial, Calif.

Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Dec. 31, in the First Christian church at Kingfisher. Rev. Bill Imhoff will officiate and burial will be in Kingfisher cemetery.
