Gertrude (Ritter) Meyers

April 8, 1905 – April 23, 1973

Gertrude Meyers, 68, died on April 23, 1973, in San Diego, California.

Born in Oklahoma on April 8, 1905, she was the daughter of Charles Luther and Rosette Emily Heil Ritter. While attending Perry schools she was an outstanding reader, winning many honors.

She and John Henry Crown were married in July 1935 in Corona, California. To this union two daughters were born, Jacquelyn and Janet. John passed away on January 31, 1965. On August 30, 1968, Gertrude and Harvey H. Meyers were married in Riverside, California.

Survivors include her husband, Harvey Meyers, of Oceanside; daughters Mrs. Jacquelyn L. Flanders and Mrs. Janet L. Simmington, both of Riverside; sisters, Mrs. Margaret Burgi and Mrs. Hazel Fioretto, both of Glendale, California; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 25, 1973 at 11:30 a.m. in the Garden of Prayer Chapel, Riverside, CA. Rev. William B. Davis will officiate with interment at Olivewood Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
