Leta Wilson, 78, Oklahoma City bookkeeper/stenographer, died July 26, 1984.
Born in Sparks, Oklahoma, on October 2, 1905, she was the daughter of Jesse Denson (Jess) and Della Rebecca Tunnell Wilson. Following her schooling at Perry elementary and high school she taught at Sunny Slope School, district 29. In 1926 she moved to Oklahoma City with her family. She also attended Central State Teachers College and Hill’s Business College.
She worked for 44 years for the Oklahoma City Casket Company and was working part time for T & M Office Supplies at the time of her death.
Miss Wilson was a member of the University Place Christian Church and a member of the AARP Chapter 230.
Survivors include 2 sisters, Movel Gibbs and Deloris Davis both of Oklahoma City; and 2 neices, Linda Easley and Tersa Welch.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 30, at the University Place Christian Church with burial at 3 p.m. in the Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry.
