Vivienne Olive (Cooper) McCants

Vivienne O. McCants, 89, of 775 Weathergreen Dr. Raleigh, North Carolina, died Friday, June 26, 1998, at Rex Hospital.
Born in Kansas on Dec. 9, 1908, she was the daughter of Ernest George and Jess Mae Warner Cooper. She graduated from Perry high at 16 years old with the distinction of completing twelve grades in a total of ten years. She continued her education at Oklahoma A. & M., Stillwater, OK. During her time at A. & M. she served as a reporter for the O’Collegian.
Vivienne moved to Oklahoma City in 1927 and worked in a real estate office as a stenographer. On July 16, 1938, she and William McCants, Jr. were married at the home of her parents in Oklahoma City. On August 26, 1945, a daughter, Carol Margaret, was born to the couple.
The family lived in Albuquerque, N. M. before settling in Raleigh, N. C.
Survivors include her husband, William McCants, and her daughter, Carol McCants of Raleigh.
