Alice Adeline (Boettcher) Winterhalter

January 15, 1908 – September 3, 1980

Alice A. Winterhalter, 72, of 5625 Duff died at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday St. Elizabeth Hospital after an illness.

Born in Lahoma, Oklahoma, on January 15, 1908, she was the second daughter of Herman Carl and Amy Alice Enright Boettcher. Their mother died of Acute Bright’s disease in 1910 and the family moved to Perry where the young girls would be close to their Enright grandparents. Both girls were confirmed at the Lutheran Church in Perry on May 15, 1921. Alice graduated from Perry high in 1927.

On November 27, 1928, she and her first husband, Amrose Constant of Enid, were married at the home of the Lutheran minister. On September 11, 1943, she married Alfred Clement Winterhalter, an electronics engineer for the oil industry, in Liberty, Texas. They lived in Beaumont, Texas for 44 years.

Survivors include her husband, Alfred, of Beaumont; and a sister, Zada Taylor of Wichita, Kansas.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with entombment in Forest Lawn Mausoleum.
