Jack Oakley Silver

September 20, 1909 – March 9, 1985

Jack Oakley, 75, of Tulsa, passed away Saturday, March 9, 1985, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Born September 20, 1909, in Perry, Oklahoma, he was the son of Benjamin Franklin and Marie Jean Di Shaw Silver. He graduated from Perry high in 1927 and worked locally as a building contractor until his enlistment in the U. S. Army on September 30, 1931. During his multiple enlistments he served for a total of 24 years, including World War II and the Korean War, retiring as a Master Sergeant.

Survivors include: 2 brothers, Arthur Silver of Rulsa, Melton C. Silver of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law, Jerri Silver of Tulsa; and Walter and Suza Cogzill of Tulsa.

Service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at the Ninde Garden Chapel. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Grace Hill cemetery, Perry, Oklahoma.
