Mabel Alice (Nicholas) Rosbrook

April 9, 1910 – October 7, 1976

Mabel A. Rosbrook, 66, died Thursday in a hospital following a long illness in San Jose, California.

Born in Eden, Oklahoma, on April 9, 1910, she was the daughter of Royal Earl and Myrtle Anna Amburs Nicholas. She graduated from Perry high in 1929 and continued her education at Oklahoma A. & M., Stillwater. She taught at the Pikes Peak rural school southeast of Perry for several years.

By 1933 Mabel resumed her education at Oklahoma A. & M., Stillwater. On June 11, 1933, she and Edwin J. Cochran were married there. They made their home in Sedgwick, Kansas. They divorced. In 1944 she and Tyron George Rosbrook were married. They divorced in 1968.

Mrs. Rosbrook moved to Santa Clara county in 1957 and resided at 569 Roadrumm Ridge. She retired from teaching at the Franklin McKinley School District in Santa Clara, California in 1969.

Survivors include her son, James L. Rosbrook; a sister, Anna Mae Stephenson; two brothers, Royal Nicholas of Kansas and Earl Nicholas of Texas, and two grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled Monday at 11 a.m. at the Altaville Protestant Cemetery in Angels Camp, California.
