Eugene Raymond Spillman

Eugene Raymond Spillman, 89, died November 15, 2006, at his home in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Born in Perry, Oklahoma, on December 25, 1916, he was the son of Seth Raymond and Lottie Belle Anglemeyer Spillman. He was raised on a farm near Perry, OK, and attended the Barret School through 8th grade with perfect attendance. He graduated from Perry High School in 1934. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1938 and his Master’s Degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1963.

On February 9, 1941, he and Idena Vereta Milliron were married in Perry. They raised their children in Midwest City and both worked at Tinker AFB until his retirement as a chemical engineer in 1981.

Active in the First Christian Church of Midwest City since its inception, he served as Elder, Deacon, and member of the Board.

He served with honor in World War II and has lived in Midwest City since 1948.

Survivors include: wife, Idena V. of Midwest City; two sons, Eugene R. Jr. & wife Sallie of Elk City, Joseph S. & wife Rebecca of Midwest City; daughter Patricia L. Loyd & husband Wyndall of OKC; seven beloved grandchildren, Wendelynn R. Loyd-Cook & husband Chris, Megan Amanda Walsh & husband Todd, Seth Raymond Spillman & wife Katye, Nina Claire Spillman, and Stephen Scott Spillman; sister, Hazel Spillman Chessmore of Perry, OK.

Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church of Midwest City with interment at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, OK at 3:00 p.m.
