Katherine A. (Scheihing) Holman

Katherine A. Holman, 96, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2001.
Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on December 29, 1904, she was the daughter of John and Carrie Franks Scheihing. She attended Perry high school in her junior year.
On January 6, 1923, Katherine and Oscar Hayden Holman were married in McClain County, Oklahoma. Oscar was a teacher and in school administration. He passed away in 1988. In addition to raising their 3 children, Katherine taught school and was rural school supervisor for Osage County, Oklahoma.
The couple moved to Collinsville about 1942 where they were members of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: one son, James O. “Bill” and wife, Betty Holman of Claremore; two daughters, Carolyn Comfort Sanderson and husband, Arden of Claremore; and Margaret and husband, Bill Henley of Tulsa; one brother, John Scheihing of Medford, OK; 9 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
Service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, November 2, 2001, at First United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Collinsville.
