Robert “Page” Powers
June 24, 1959 – March 14, 2025
Robert Page Powers departed from this life on March 14, 2025, the day of the lunar eclipse, during the historic windstorm of Oklahoma. He took his final breath peacefully in his home surrounded by friends and family.
Born on June 24th, 1959, in Roswell, New Mexico, he was the son of Ben Jack and Dona Lee Henderson Powers. His family moved to Oklahoma in 1963. While attending Perry High School, he won state championship in wrestling and was voted class president his senior year.
He bought his first home at age 18 and built his first home at age 32. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. He worked at ODOT, on oil fields, was a superintendent of building hog barns and a licensed independent plumber. His knowledge, talents and skills seemed unending.
He taught Sunday school at the First Christian Church in his early 30’s. His relationship with God remained a central focus of his life; though he could never be tamed. He seemed to belong to another time and place. He was a cowboy, outlaw. A wild mountain man. Unconventional in every way. His life was a constant adventure. He lived big and loved bigger. Spending time with family and friends was the highlight of his life. He was the beloved crazy uncle page, and the best papa in the world. He led an extraordinary life, his way, to the very end.
Proceeding him in death were his father, Ben Jack Powers; mother, Dona Lee Powers; sister, Melody Terry; and brother, Kenny Powers.
Survivors include: his wife, Lesa Reyes; his brother, Jack Powers; his sister, Kimberly Tovar; many beloved nieces and nephews; son, Eric Seth Powers; daughter, Jennifer Powers; and grandchildren, Cora Rose and Elu Page Truelove.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on March 23, 2025, at the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N 7th St, Perry, OK 73077.
