Rosa Gene (Brewer) LeBlanc

Rosa Gene LeBlanc, age 77, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on Dec. 1, 2003.
Born in Mangum, Oklahoma, on May 7, 1926, she was the daughter of William Monroe and Jessie Lou Williams Brewer. She participated in the high school chorus and band and was one of the youngest high school graduates of the Perry high school class of 1942.
Following her graduation she moved to Oklahoma City and attended business school. She worked for the Army Recruiting Station at Tinker Field. She also worked for the City of OKC in the Warrant Office and Probation Office, a branch of the OKC Police Department.
On April 9, 1944, she and Warren Arthur LeBlanc, Sr. were married in Oklahoma City. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of WWII and an accountant. They were blessed with three sons and two daughters.
She retired at 58 years of age to spend time with her family and do volunteer work for her church, Exchange Avenue Baptist Church, and for the Boy Scout and Girl Scout Organizations. She was a very avid reader and could tell you about every book she ever read.
Preceding her in death were: her parents; brother, James E. Brewer; husband of 56 years, Warren Sr.; daughter, Lisa; and son, Christopher.
Survivors include: two sons, Warren Jr. and Michael and his wife Dee Ann; daughter, Mary Gene; grandsons, Matthew and Joshua LeBlanc and Dane Holland; four sisters; and one brother all of Oklahoma City.
Funeral services will be held on Dec. 5, 2003 at 1:00 PM at Vondel Smith Funeral Home at 6934 S. Western, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.
