Don St.Clair
– 17 years old, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. St.Clair, 1128 Jackson street. He was born June 23, 1922, in Springdale, Arkansas. He has always attended the Perry schools.
In 1936-37, 1938-39, and 1939-40 he played the position of guard on the Perry high school football team. He is a member of the local chapter of the Future Farmers of America and this year showed the champion fat lamb at the county fair. He was treasurer of the FFA chapter in his sophomore, junior, and senior years in high school.
This year he was president of his home room class. Don’s hobbies are hunting and fishing. Next year he plans to attend Oklahoma A. and M. college in Stillwater, taking a course in Agriculture.
Donald Dean St.Clair
June 23, 1922 – June 2, 1983
Donald Dean St.Clair, 60, Ozona, Texas, formerly of Perry, died at 11 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 1983, at the Crockett County hospital following an illness of 18 months.
Born at Springdale, Arkansas, on June 23, 1922, he was the son of the late H. M. St.Clair and Mrs. Laura St.Clair, a resident of Perry nursing home.
He attended Perry schools and was married Sept. 25, 1940, to Margie Grimes, who survives.
St.Clair and his family had lived many years at Ozona. He had retired last March following 39 years of employment with Shell Oil Co.
Survivors other than his wife, Margie, of the home at Ozona, include five daughters, Mrs. Gene (Donna Kay) Erickson, Naples, Fla; Janis St.Clair, Ozona; Margie, Evelyn, and Katherine, all of the home; one son, John Mark St.Clair, Ozona; his mother, Mrs. Laura St.Clair, Perry; four brothers, Jack St.Clair, Stone Mountain, Ga.; Ed St.Clair, Fairfield Bay, Ark.; and John St.Clair and Tolbert St.Clair, both of Perry; and two grandsons; three granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran church at Ozona and burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery cemetery there.
