Evelyn Hirschman
– is the eighteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Hirschman at Perry and has attended school at Oak Grove, district 41, as well as Perry.
She is a member of the Order of Rainbow and the Methodist church and has been a participant in glee club in her junior year.
Evelyn Fae (Hirschman) Hill
Dec. 29, 1925 – November 13, 2003
Evelyn F. Hill, age 77, of 305 S. Chestnut Ave., Marshfield, Wisconsin, and formerly of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, died on at 6:20 a.m. Nov. 13, 2003, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital where she had been admitted on Nov. 3.
Born in Perry, Oklahoma, on Dec. 29, 1925, she was the daughter of the Lawrence and Lucile (Warner) Hirschman. Following her graduation from Perry high school in 1944, she taught three terms of school in Noble County and enrolled at Oklahoma A & M. where she graduated with a B.S. in education. While at the university, she was accepted as a member of Kappa Delta Pi, a national honor fraternity for selected upper classmen in education.
On April 30, 1949, she and Clay Frederick Hill were married in Perry. They made their home in Bartlesville where they were blessed with a son, George Lawrence Hill.
She was employed by the Bartlesville School System where she taught elementary school until her retirement in 1987.
Predeceasing her were her parents and her husband, Clay, on January 11, 1978. Their only son, Dr. George L. Hill, died of cancer on April 20, 1999.
Survivors include: her daughter-in-law, Linda J. Hill of Marshfield; four grandchildren; and a sister, Laural (Gene) Zovodney of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Bartlesville, Okla. Burial will be at White Rose Cemetery, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
