Jesse Ernest Teer
January 13, 1926 – April 30, 1997
Jesse E. Teer, 71, died in Blackwell, Oklahoma on April 30, 1997.
Born in Atchison, Kansas, on January 13, 1926, he was the son of Gay Robert and Opal Ladean Wood Teer. He graduated from Perry high school in 1944 and served for two years as a Staff Sergeant in the U. S. Army during World War II.
On July 27, 1947, he and Maudie Pauline Hurley, were married in Blackwell. They made their home in Blackwell, where Jesse was employed at the Evans Electric company. Jesse and Maudie were divorced in 1950.
He began working as an apprentice at the Blackwell Journal Tribune, where he continued his career until retirement as a production supervisor.
On November 2, 1951, he and Vivian Brittain were married at the Methodist church in Pryor. They were blessed with 47 years of marriage and three children.
Predeceasing him were his parents and one-day-old son, Ernest Ray Teer.
Surviving are: his wife, Vivian; son, Ronnie Teer, and his wife Donna of Blackwell, Oklahoma; and daughter, Connie Glaze, and her husband David of Norman, Oklahoma.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 1997. Burial will be at the Blackwell Cemetery, Blackwell, Oklahoma.
