– is the 17-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn McLimans of 825 Firs street. She was born March 20, 1929, in Perry, and attended Lutheran grade school here before entering the local high school.
Bonnie Rose was in the senior play and served on the Perryscope staff this year, and in 1943-44 was a student council member. She belongs to the Red Hots, national honor society, Walther league and Teen-Town.
She will attend Oklahoma A. & M. next term.
Bonnie Rose (McLimans) Davis
March 20, 1929 – March 23, 2019
Bonnie R. Davis, 90, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away March 23, 2019, in Tulsa.
Born in Perry on March 20, 1929, she was the daughter of Glen and Rose McLimans. Following her graduation from Perry high school in 1946, she continued her education at a secretarial-accounting and machine bookkeeping course at a business college in Chillicothe, Missouri.
She was employed as a stenographer at a pet laboratory and an oil company in Tulsa.
On May 23, 1952, she and Clifford Dee Davis Jr, were married at the Grace Lutheran Church, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At the time of their marriage they were both employed at the Stanolind Oil and Gas company. They made their home in Tulsa.
A life-long Lutheran, she was a member of Grace, Our Savior, and finally, Good Shepherd Lutheran Churches. She was also a member of Xi Xi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband of 62 years, Clifford Dee Davis, Jr.
Survivors include her two sons; and their wives, Richard and Diane Davis and Robert and Leslie Davis, all of Tulsa; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2019, at Floral Haven Cemetery Family Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
