Mary Louise (Smith) Riddle

January 24, 1931 – April 26, 2001

Mary Louise Riddle, 70, of Tulsa, died on Thursday, April 26, 2001.

Born in Enid, Oklahoma on January 24, 1931, she was the daughter of Fred and Ethel (Crane) Smith. Mary grew up in Perry OK where she attended Perry Schools and was a member of the Maroon Marching Band.

On February 19, 1949, she and fellow PHS band member, Bill Riddle, were married at the First Methodist Church in Cushing. While Bill continued his education at Oklahoma A & M Technical College they lived in Okmulgee. In 1952 they relocated to Tulsa, where both worked at McDonnell Douglas Corporation. Their first son died at birth in 1955. In 1961 they were blessed with another son, Joseph Ray Riddle.

Mary retired from McDonnell Douglas after many years of service.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and infant son.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years and son Joseph.

Funeral services will he at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, Tulsa, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery.
