Service in the Air Force is ahead for Donald Dean Savoie, at least according to present plans. Donald, who has been employed as a janitor at the school is the son of MR. and Mrs. H. W. Savoie, 1224 Kaw street. He was born November 11, 1938, in Noble county. His favorite subject is science, and swimming is his hobby.

Donald Dean Savoie passed from this life into his eternal home in heaven on Monday, December 20, 2021, at the age of 83.

Born in Perry, Oklahoma on Friday, November 11, 1938, he was the son of Henry Walter and Martha June (Bussard) Savoie. Don was raised in Perry graduated from Perry High School in 1956. Following his graduation he attended Oklahoma university for a semester before working locally.

In 1960, Donald and Therma Lissie Givens were married at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Perry. They were blessed with three children. Terma passed away in 1994.

He had a long career working as a rail track maintenance specialist for different railroads in the area.

On September 19, 1998, he Louise Cardin were married in Perry, Oklahoma.

After retirement, he and Louise moved to the Broken Arrow, Oklahoma area to be closer to her children, who cared for both he and Louise.

He was a member of New Bethel Assembly of God in Coweta and loved the Gaithers gospel music.

Those who preceded him in death are his parents, Henry and Martha; his first wife, and stepson, Carl Peck.

Survivors include: his wife, Louise, of Broken Arrow; two sons and 1 daughter from his first marriage; stepdaughter Donna Rector and her husband, David of Coweta; stepson Greg Peck and his wife, Cyrilla, of Porter; stepson Merle Peck and his wife, Carla, of Coweta; stepdaughter Darlene Honea and her husband, Tracy, of Collinsville; 9 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; and one brother, Henry Savoie of Oklahoma City.

Graveside services will be held December 30, 2021, at the Vernon Cemetery, Coweta, Oklahoma.
