– 17, was born Sept. 12, 1941, in Perry, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Elliott, 1007 Tenth street. Her plans are indefinite after graduation from Perry high school. She is a water skiing enthusiast and shorthand is her favorite subject. Her school activities include band, foot queen business manager, twirler, senior play, band queen attendant, Perryscope staff, home economics style show, member of Teen Town, all-school revue, and several other class programs.
Billie Gayle (Elliott) Eastin
September 12, 1941 – December 9, 1998
Billie Gayle Eastin, a native of Perry, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1998, at her home in Bull Head, Arizona following an illness.
Born in Perry, on September 12, 1941, she was the daughter of William Perry “Billie” and Ita Gayle Purdy Elliott. Following her graduation from Perry High School in 1959, she moved to Oklahoma City, where she was employed.
On April 15, 1960, Billie and fellow 1959 PHS graduate, Roy Lee Eastin, were married. At the time of their marriage Roy was serving in the Air Force and returned to his base at San Bernardino, Californa to finish his enlistment. Billie returned to her work in Oklahoma City, but joined him mid-summer. While in California they were blessed with the birth of a son and daughter.
The family lived in California cities before moving to Arizona.
Preceding her in death was her father, who was a former Perry mayor and contractor.
Survivors include: her husband, Roy, of the home; a son, Eric; and daughter, Teresa; and her mother, Gayle Elliott, and sister, Dee Ann Woodall, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Among other survivors are: an uncle, Bob Elliott, of Oklahoma City, also formerly of Perry; and three cousins, Karen Grim and Gene and Glen Elliott, all of Perry.
Memorial services will be held Jan. 9, 1999, at Desert Lawn funeral home in Hull Head City. Burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery in Perry.
