Donald J. Johnson, age 93, passed away on August 11, 2022 at the Englewood Community Hospital in Englewood, Fla.

Born in Perry, Oklahoma on February 13, 1929, he was the son of Henry A. Johnson and Carrie Arabella Pease Meisinger. Following his graduation from Perry high school in 1947, he served 18 months in the U.S. army.

On September 8, 1950, Donald and Lillian Theresa Sedlor were married in Yonkers, New York. They were blessed with two sons.

Predeceasing him were; his parents, half-sister, Marie Edna Meisinger; half-brother, Claire Avery Meisinger; and son, David Thomas Johnson.

Survivors include: his wife of 72 years, Lillian; and son, John Charles Johnson, of Burlington, Vermont; along with three grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 11:00 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 160 Hinesburg Road, South Burlington, VT. Burial with military honors will immediately follow at the Resurrection Park Catholic Cemetery on 200 Hinesburg Road in South Burlington, Vermont.
