Irene Mary Vaverka plans to enter secretarial work afer graduation. Miss Vaverka, 18, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Vaverka, route 3, Perry. She has attended Perry schools 10 years. Miss Vaverka attended the first and second grades in Bison school.

Irene Mary Vaverka, 87, of Del City, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on February 7, 2020.
Born in Oklahoma on November 28, 1932, she was the daughter of Joseph John and Mary A. (Harak) Vaverka. She graduated from Perry high school in 1951.
In her working career she served many years as an administrative assistant with Southwestern Bell, OG&E and finally retired from Tinker Air Force Base civil service.
She had a passion for all animals and spoke fondly of her beloved dog, Suzy.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Midwest City, Oklahoma with interment to follow at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Perry, OK.
