Gayle Marie (Abel) Davis

July 17, 1935 – October 9, 2019

Gayle Marie Davis, age 84, Wichita, Kansas passed away October 9, 2019.

Born in Perry, Oklahoma on July 17, 1935, she was the daughter of James Monroe and Viola Merle (Cole) Abel. She attended Perry high school through her junior year and began working as a clerk at a Perry department store.

On August 16, 1952, she and fellow alumni, Dennis Ray Davis, were married. They made their home in Wichita, where Dennis was employed at at the Cessna aircraft plant.

Gayle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend that will be dearly missed.

Preceding her in death were: both parents; husband, Dennis Ray Davis; son, Steven Davis; and 2 brothers.

Gayle is survived by daughter, Deah Davis; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at Resthaven Mortuary, Wichita, Kansas with interment at the Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Wichita.
