Patsy Lou Durbin, 85, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at her home in Carl Junction, Missouri.

Born in Perry, Oklahoma on August 4, 1934, she was the daughter of John Franklin Krisher and Katie Lou (McGee) Krisher. Following her graduation from Perry high school in 1952, she began working as a local store clerk. She was named “Harvest Queen” in the Lake Hellums beauty contest in Enid, Oklahoma.

Pat and Cecil B. Boone, Jr. were married on February 21, 1953. Cecil worked as an oil field driller and was killed in an oil field accident in 1955.

On July 24, 1958, she married Leo Durbin in Newton, Kansas. He survives at the home.

Pat worked at the snack bar for the Webb City High School while her children attended school there and could be easily heard or recognized at all her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events or any extracurricular activities. She also worked at Tri-State Motor Transit. The most important job she held though was being a loving mother and grandmother.

She loved gardening, sewing, and cooking.

Preceding her in death were her first husband, Cecil, her parents, two sisters, and two brothers.

In addition to her husband of 61 years, Leo, Pat is survived by her children, Richard Durbin, Kathye Macy and her husband, Bryan, Shari Starkey and her husband, Sam, and Michael Durbin and his wife, Jackie. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Ryan Macy and partner, Matt Monroe, Samuel “Bo” Starkey, Cory Macy and wife, Katrina, Jacob Starkey, Katie Starkey, Tanner Durbin, and Tiffany Durbin. She is also survived by three nephews and a niece.

A private graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, in Perry, Okla., where she will be laid to rest with her family at Grace Hill cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Freeman Cornell-Beshore Cancer Institute.
