Sue Carolyn (Autry) Kime

February 13, 1934 – October 23, 2015

Sue Carolyn (Autry) Stoddard Kime, 81, passed on to life everlasting on Oct. 23, 2015.

Born in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Feb. 13, 1934, she was the daughter of James and Willie Autry. She grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and attended Stillwater high school, before her marriage to Donald Leroy Stoddard on November 9, 1951.

Sue graduated from Perry high school in 1952. She began her career as a medical transcriptionist in Perry in 1960. She was then employed at Midwest Regional Medical Center for 36 years.

She was a lady of many talents, typing 130 wpm. Sue also played the piano and/or organ in five churches throughout her life until the month before her passing.

Quilting became one of her favorite hobbies, finishing 100 quilts while listening to radio preachers. She also liked to crochet and work in the yard.

Charles Louis Kime and Sue were married in 1967. She had much pride in the simple log cabin that she and her husband built themselves.

Preceding her in death were: her husband, C. L. Kime, in 2010; her daughter, Vanessa Wampler, in 2003; and her parents.

Sue is survived by daughter, Gayla Stoddard Meshew & husband Ric; sister, Mary Ford & husband, George; her grandchildren, Tyson, Joel, and Corinne Wampler; Andrew Shelton and his wife Melissa; and Sue Marie Meshew; great-grandsons, David and Michael Shelton; niece, Grace Sadler and family; and Michael Ford and family.

Celebration of life for Sue was held at Bible Baptist Church on Oct. 29, 2015, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. David Wheatley presiding. The Graveside Service began at 11 a.m. and was located at the Luther Cemetery in Luther, OK, Route 66 and Peebly Road.
