Before entering Perry high, Joyce Ann Clark, 18, had attended school at Banner and Guthrie. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Clark, 727 Seventh street, and was born March 10, 1938, in Guthrie, coming to Perry with her family Sept. 15, 1950. She has been a member of the Red Hots pep club and the glee club. Her hobby is drawing and shorthand is her favorite subject. Miss Clark plans to attend Oklahoma A. & M. college.

Joyce Ann (Clark) Mooney

March 10, 1938 – March 9, 2012

Joyce Ann Mooney, 73, a longtime Duncan, Okla., resident, passed away Friday, March 9, 2012, at her home in Oklahoma City.

Born at Guthrie, Oklahoma on March 10, 1938, she was the daughter of Lee Ellsworth and Ruby Mildred (Coombs) Clark. She graduated from Perry High School in Perry, Oklahoma, in 1956.

She and Walter Mooney, Jr. were married June 23, 1956, at Duncan, and he preceded her in death on May 16, 2006.

She attended the Victory Church in Oklahoma City, loved painting, sewing, collecting rocks and stamps, and loved to read.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a grandson, Clayton Mooney.

Survivors include: her son, Scottie Lee Mooney of Comanche, Okla.; two daughters, Debra Louise Sears and Breena Dawn Griffith, both of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Carol Louise Pyatt of Chelsea, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, at the Marlow Cemetery in Marlow, Oklahoma.
